Frank Rausch is an expert for advanced software user interfaces and a passionate typographer.

Frank has been active as a self-employed interaction designer since 2003, working for international clients in several industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Interface Design from Potsdam University of Applied Sciences.

He is managing partner at Raureif Design Consultancy in Berlin.

As an interaction designer, Frank has designed many serious and complex interfaces, including online banking, e-commerce applications, television rights management front ends, flight control software, and presentation software. He has designed for the Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android, and for the Web. Many clients have him sign strict NDAs, so he is usually tight-lipped about the cutting-edge stuff he is working on.

Frank has recently redesigned Incom and LucasFonts.com, has created TypeShow and co-edits the German-language site for MyFonts.com.

Frank is passionate about the use of technology and typography to solve design challenges.
He never stops talking about the importance of great typefaces. He writes articles about type and typography on a regular basis, notably for the German-language site of MyFonts, of which he is co-editor.

Frank is ambitious in type design and is pretty good at drawing with the Bézier path tool.
He is very nit-picky when it comes to curves and shapes.

Frank lectures on GUI Design at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and at his alma mater, the University of Applied Science in Potsdam.
